If you are looking for a therapist you may be bewildered by the number of therapies available before even considering how to choose a therapist!
I’d like to help you understand what you can expect from BWRT® session and your therapist.
Your BWRT® therapist will be able to demonstrate that s/he is insured and has been trained by the Institute of BrainWorking Recursive Therapy. Furthermore all BWRT® practitioners who are lists on the British BrainWorking Research Society website have been fully trained, vetted and approved. You will be able to look for reviews of your therapist on the internet or find testimonials on their websites.
It is, however, advisable to look around and not simply go with the cheapest or nearest therapist to you. By choosing therapy you are investing in your future and should want to choose someone who demonstrates to you that s/he is the right therapist for you.
I am a Level 2 or Advanced Practitioner of BWRT®. I realise just how difficult it is to choose a therapist having already decided to try a therapy. I’ve been there! In order to help you to decide whether BWRT® is the right therapist for you or whether, indeed, I am the right therapist for you, I offer a free consultation.
FREE 30min Consultation
To help you decide whether I am the right therapist for you I offer free consultation which can be by telephone Skype, FaceTime or Zoom. This allows you to get an idea of the sort of person I am, to ask questions about the other therapies I offer. To tell me what you are looking to get out of your therapy and something about your issue. By doing this I can get an understanding that will help me to recommend a particular therapy or approach.
What is BWRT® like?
Most clients are surprised when they have reached the end of a BWRT® session. Often people say, “well I didn’t know what expect, but I wasn’t expecting that” – and always with a smile.
To begin with, a BWRT® session may look or feel as though it is going to be like a counselling session you have had before. However, if you have never experienced BWRT® then it will be completely new to you. It is important you follow the instructions given to you rather than doing what you think is best, if your therapy session is to be as successful as it can be.
BWRT® is a very down to earth therapy. There’s nothing mystical or weird about it. You don’t have to have any particular beliefs, nor do you really need to understand it.
However during your session I will, where necessary, explain the therapy to you – some of its history, how it works and so on. I will also explain to you your role in the therapy which is really very simple.
I often take a very detailed case-history. Some of the questions might seem irrelevant at first, but you will be surprised at how quickly they make sense and enable me to tailor your therapy session and ensure you get the best out of it. Where an issue is very clear – a fear of spiders for example – it can be a very short case-history that is taken. I might also make suggestions as to a “therapy plan” and using a variety of therapeutic techniques in cases where a number of sessions are required. However, when we use BWRT® it will be the only therapy used on that day. If I don’t think BWRT® is the right therapy for you – I will explain why and present the alternative.
After a BWRT® treatment clients often say they feel “sleepy”, “chilled”, “really calm”. It is not at all unusual for a client to say “I can’t find that pain” or “it really doesn’t bother me now”, “I know I can cope with that now” when thinking about the situation or event that had caused so much discomfort and trouble in the past.
Now you know what you can expect from your BWRT® session you will want to know whether it can help. Follow this link to discover what issues BWRT® can address. It has been remarked that BWRT® is the therapy of tomorrow. It is fair today that BWRT® could help you get the life of tomorrow…..TODAY!!
